Part 2: Solange Knowles in African prints

Hello Lovelies,

I think it is time for me to admit that I am an African prints’s junkie.  I had fun collecting all the Knowles’ sisters look, in African prints. If you missed the first part, you can read about it here. When it comes to Solange, her famous sister does not stop her from having her own look. Her look, in most parts, is funky, authentic, and eclectic. I love her African prints’ selections. Take a look.

Look Book: Asiyami Gold

Hello lovelies,

Leaves are finally falling. Temperatures are dropping more, a chill air creeps in. Now, all I can think about is how to keep myself warm. This is the right season to start wearing cozy warm sweaters, then introduce turtle necks and finally some Layering.

African prints will not dull on me. It can now be on specific items in the closet, trench coats or jackets, so I could enjoy this print all year long. I was looking for  styles for a coat and  I came across African Prints’ coats by Asiyami Gold brand – 2014 Fall/Winter collection. This discovery was not just enough for me, but seeing how she mixes coats with classic fall/winter outfits gave me some great ideas. I’m so excited, my heart is almost racing. These coats can really  brighten up ones’ Fall/Winter wardrobe. I am really digging it right now. Colours selected are rich,  fun, and on point. Take a look.

Look Book: Lena Hoschek

Hello Lovelies,

Like it or not, it is the time of the year we give Summer a see you soon again look. Yes, the smell of pumpkin soup is on its way. Now, I still can’t get enough of one thing; loud fabric. Remember the time I shared with you Stella Jean’s work? Oh, my head is over the hills again. Last June, I came across Lena Hoschek. I love her (2015 Spring/Summer collection) colour intense dresses. The outfits are feminine tailored with vibrant patterns and prints. I find the dresses’ name amusing…Lena named the dresses after some Africans’ countries, cities, animals, and things. Here are some of the dresses I really like. Take a look.

Obsession Du Jour: Raphael Lucena

Hello Lovelies,

The past two days in the prairies, it doesn’t feel as if summer is around the corner. One minute, the temperature is high. The other minute, the air pressure is freezing. Yes, it’s that bad. It so cold that some people are back into wearing their winter coats…While all this is happening outside, indoors, I came across Raphael Lucena’s work. I am in love with his fashion retro shoot. It reminds me of some outfits I used to wear. I’m sure you have seen these outfits. Clearly, not the same prints, but something similar to this…oh, and the floral couch too. Take a look.
